- Fishing
PUBLIC LAKE FISHING
Fishing at Parvin, Dowdy, West, Bellaire, Lost and Creedmore Lakes requires a Colorado fishing license.
RED FEATHER LAKES PRIVATE LAKE FISHING
If you are renting a home in Red Feather Lakes and the owner has purchased a fishing membership you may purchase daily guest passes from the Lone Pine Realty Office. You do not have to have a CO fishing license to fish in the private lakes.
CRYSTAL LAKES FISHING
If you are a guest of Crystal Lakes, you may fish the ponds/lakes located in the subdivision by obtaining a daily fishing pass from the Crystal Lakes office at 300 Tami Road. You are not required to have a Colorado fishing license. Please bring your guest pass from Lone Pine Realty when purchasing.
A Colorado fishing license is required to fish all moving waters in Crystal Lakes. All fishing on the North Fork of the Poudre River is CATCH-AND-RELEASE.
- Boating
PUBLIC LAKES
Dowdy Lake: Allows gas and electric motors as long as they are operated at wakeless speeds.
West Lake: Motorized & Non-Motorized Boats Allowed
Bellaire Lake: Non-Motorized Boats Allowed
RED FEATHER PRIVATE LAKES
Guest fishermen are not permitted to use boats on any of the lakes since all boats must be registered with RFSI. Members may use boats without motors on Apache, Erie, Letitia, and Nokomis lakes. No boats or floatation devices are allowed on Snake, Ramona, or Shagwa lakes.
No swimming is permitted in any of the RFSI lakes.
CRYSTAL LAKES
Lone Pine Realty Vacation Rental guests staying in a cabin in Crystal Lakes can rent a canoe from the Lone Pine Realty office for use on Crystal Lake only, full day and ½ day rentals available. You may pay and pick up the paddles, oars and life vests at the Lone Pine Realty Vacation Rental office. Crystal Lakes requires one life vest for each person on board. You will need to return the equipment to Lone Pine Realty after your rental.
- All boats must be registered with the CLR&R office and display a Crystal Lakes sticker.
- Boats and float tubes are allowed on Crystal Lake only.
- Boats must have one life jacket on board for each occupant.
- No gasoline motors may be used. GAS motors must be removed from the boat and the boat cleaned of any fuel products before launching. Only electric trolling motors allowed.
- Boats may be launched by hand from any point on the lake. The only places a vehicle may launch a boat are at the West End of the lake by the boathouse, and at Lakeview Park on the Northeast end.
- Services
Red Feather Lakes Village and surrounding area is home to seven restaurants, six small stores, and three churches to meet your needs while visiting the mountain. We invite you to explore the unique shops and support local business.
- ATV
ATVs are permitted only on designated trails in the Roosevelt National Forest.
GUESTS OF LONE PINE VACATION RENTALS MAY NOT RIDE ATVs IN THE RED FEATHER LAKES VILLAGE AREA OR CRYSTAL LAKES.
Larimer County prohibits ATV’s on all public roads.

Red Feather Lakes and Crystal Lakes are surrounded by Roosevelt National Forest which provides many hiking opportunities, both on and off trail. Crystal Lakes has maintained trails throughout the subdivision.

Beaver Meadows Resort, off Huron Road in Crystal Lakes, has cross-country skiing trails, ice skating and a tubing hill available during the winter.
